Don't Talk Like

The Hot Rock, "Don't Talk Like"

Really nice song. with typical voice and guitar counterpoint.  I think there are more than two guitars on the recording.  If so, guitar 3 adds some great harmony with great economy.  If there are only two, you'll have to deal with the bass in Riff 1.  You can do it.

The vocals add a great deal to the harmony as usual.

  • Quarter note = 120 or so.  Slower than average.
  • Standard tuning.
  • Tabbed where it felt good on the fretboard but there are alternatives.
  • These images a pretty big.  I hope you can be patient for the graphics to load.  (They aren't that big, I hope.)

1a is the main riff and 1b is the main riff twisted a little, a S-K specialty:

Don't Talk Like Riff 1

2 This little riff really gets around too:

Don't Talk Like Riff 2

3:

Don't Talk Like Riff 3
