"Instant" and enter your email address: Announcements ***************** ***On Wednesday Jan 22, the 10th street parking lot gates were locked briefly at 3:30PM to confine and detain a reported trespasser who was driving recklessly in the Grady parking lot. The person was apprehended and found to be a non-Grady teenager. The reckless driving activity had been reported several times in the past by parents who were picking up students and other individuals from the Grady community. On Tuesday, the fact that a parent reported the incident and school administration was able to respond immediately, enabled police to confront this individual and take the necessary steps to hopefully prevent this from happening again. Please explain to your students that this type of behavior will not be tolerated. It will be reported to authorities and steps will be taken to stop this type of activity or any other illegal activity on Grady property. It is important we get the word out to the students. It is important that we, as adults, report to school administrators any inappropriate activities we witness on Grady property. We must also be the eyes and ears for the Grady community, to protect our students and provide a safe environment. Thanks, Diane Terrell ***Grady students are competing in the APS Social Studies Fair on February 4 at the Instructional Services Center. Students entered in the fair are: Clara Green, William Long, Nick Stephens, David Suitts, Miranda Brownlee, Mia Colson, Alissa Whiters, Brandon Williams, Meredith Anderson, Chelsea Futterman, Trevor Garner and Conrad Gross. ***The Interact Club will be holding a book sale to raise money
for the African Library Project, which is helping to build a library in
Rwanda. So that we can raise as much money as possible for the project,
the Interact Club is asking for book donations. Although all donations
will be greatly appreciated, classic, children, mystery, health-related,
reference, and how-to books are ideal. Donations can be sent to Ms.
Whitten's room, room #302 through March. Thank you! ***Grady's Athletic Banquet will be held on May 9 at 6 PM at the Holiday Inn Select in Decatur ***Read the Grady Booster Club Sports news here: Help******************** ***The Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is sponsoring a coat and blanket drive to run through January.
