***Volunteers are needed to help with the decorations for the Homecoming Dance. October 25, and to help assemble gift bags, balloons, and participants for Senior Knight, Nov. 8.  Call Sarah Chaffin – 404.377.5487 –or reply to this email to volunteer.

***Aids Walk Atlanta on Sunday, Oct 20 counts for volunteer hours! Please register with Ms. Whitten. It is a 6.2 mile walk that begins at Piedmont Park.

***Inman Writers’ Workshop Presenters and Volunteers: Dates are November 13, 14 & 15. Would you like to volunteer? ***GIRL'S BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:  Practice and tryouts for the Grady girls basketball teams will be next week, Monday, Oct. 21 thru Fri, Oct 25 in the new gym at 3:45pm each afternoon. You must be certified and have your physical  to try out.  See Coach Black for questions

***Booster Club’s first car decorating contest, Friday, Oct. 25  “Demolish Decatur” is the theme. Students may enter the contest as individuals, or as Teams, Classes, or Clubs.  Cars and trucks entered in the contest must be in the student parking lot by 8:45 AM; judging will be immediately thereafter.  Entry forms are available in the main office. 

***Second semester course schedules will be generated and distributed to students by Novemeber 1. Parents, please ask your student for their schedule. Counselors will be available to meet with parents individually on Tuesday, Nov 5, 8:30am - 3:30pm. in the counselors office and again on Tuesday, Nov 12 5pm - 7pm in the theater lobby to discuss student schedules

***Long–sleeved mock turtlenecks with embroidered Grady logo will be available for sale next week, just in time for the cool weather.  All booster merchandise will be available for sale at the school on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday Oct.25, during lunch periods and before the Football game.  If you want something especially for Homecoming, send your order form to the school Monday, and I will make sure you get the order by Thursday.
