***Student schedules were mailed July 25. Examine your schedules carefully. Only if there is an error will schedule changes be made. Students should see the counselors in their office and magnet students should see Ms. Grishman in the Communication office on Friday, August 1. Twelfth graders come at 9:00 a.m., eleventh graders come at 10:00a.m., tenth graders come at 1:00 p.m., and ninth graders come at 2:00 p.m.

***ATTENTION NINTH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS:  The annual 9th Grade picnic will be Friday, August 15th at 6:00pm in Derthick Plaza ('tween the gyms). PTSA will provide hot dogs, chips, slaw and dessert. Please bring your own beverages and seating.  We look forward to seeing you! Grady PTSA Executive Board

***Construction Update. APS and Centex (general contractor) are furiously trying to prepare for the return of students on Monday August 11. This is a big weekend for completing trailer set-up and temporary space under stadium; followed by a thorough cleaning for the whole facility and finally moving possessions back to new locations.

Demolition is about 80% complete and contractor will continue to use access through parking lot reducing the number of available spaces. Dr. Murray will notify students and teachers about designated parking after the start of school. Look for helpful information from PTSA about traffic control measures.

Our staff and teachers are great. We really appreciate their good attitude about living within a construction site for a whole year. Let us give them more support than ever!

***Wanted: PTSA Membership Committee Members
Sharon Brandon, 10th grade parent, needs new and returning parents, grandparents, teachers, students, other school personnel, community members, etc. to help with the PTSA membership drive. Jobs include signing up new members at school functions, helping with data entry, approaching community members to get involved, etc. You decide how much time you can offer.
