I visited the War Museum at Canberra and how pleased I was to see the display of the Shropshires battle flags and the gun barrel caps displaying the Loggerheads the coat of arms of Shropshire.

Many thanks for your respond to my GB entry on your Page. I am very pleased to hear from you and your interest in the Submarine War of WWII. Especially, as you have faced it directly.
As I maybe told you, I am born in 1961, so most of my knowledge about this time is from talking to elder People of my Familiy (most of them served with the Army, only a few with the Navy or the Air Force). The overall meaning of them, could be described as follows:
Never again allow People to rule you with kind of racism or facism! If you feel our Constitution worth to be defended against the Communist Block, join our armed Forces. If you feel this is not the right way, go in the Peace Service (I dont know the spelling in English for it, but those are the People not believing that War could be an answer) and we will support you as well. If more than 50 Mio. Peoples Dead should have a reason, here it is! Stay in for your rights, as much as for those of other People!
And who knows, wishes sometimes become truth. So anyhow, I wish you as long time as you want! Keep the things going and your Site rolling!
