I have used several template sites with my very limited knowledge... The Website Tonight at Godaddy is good but Jim is right, it is much better to have software etc !!!

My web guy - Terry Kearns put together our primary site http://www.HeavenlyCabins.com There are several things that I would like to update but it is a good site.... Terry built a template for me and taught me to do most of my own changes, etc... I downloaded an inexpensive but very good software called CityDesk and Terry did the initial work... Terry even has a free City Desk vacation rental template site that you can download from his website to try out.You would need hosting, etc..

Terry is not expensive and will work with you at whatever pace or level you prefer....Give him a try, great guy !! He is a member on the board but has been too busy to post lately... NO affiliation, except a satisfied customer !!

Hey Bob, thanks for sending some business our way in TN... Everyone does have their own preferences... I, too have referred some your way on the NC side.. We definitely want happy guests who are clear about what they are getting.... We WANT them to come back !!! It blows my mind why someone would want to mislead people, happy repeat business is the ultimate icing on the cake !!

I really like your idea of adding the online guestbook to your personal website.. I have a guest testimonial page but I have to add the comments... I would love to have the guest be able to do it on our website but still have control as to editing it.. Was this just an easy html form code to add for a novice or should I have my web guy- Terry Kearns do it for me ??? Do you mind sharing that??

****Just a plug for Terry - my webguy, he setup my website as a template, had me download inexpensive software, gave me some tutoring and I can now do most of my own update.... It has been great for me since I really did not have time to learn all of the html coding, etc... Thanks for your comments on my website!  I appreciate any and all
feedback I can get.  It's only been up for a few weeks and I'm
looking to make it the best it can be!

Terry Kearns is the guy who designed it!  He has been awesome to work
with.  I know very little about the technical side of setting one up
and he has made it as painless as possible.  The best part, being a
new, first time owner, is the well rounded education he's given me.
He's always got new ideas and sites for me to look at, suggestions
for wording, he turned me on to this Yahoo group (which has been a
wonderful education--Thank you!) and has had the patience of Jobe
through out!  I finally got to thank him in person at Christine's
seminar Saturday!  He's on this group so just ask for him and I know
he'll read your message or go to my website and his contact info is
at the bottom!

Anyway, back to your feedback...I'll give you my logic and I would
like to see if you agree.  I have a townhouse at the beach.  I feel
like the best selling points are the inside, the 3 porches, proximity
to the pool on the dunes (100 steps), the outstanding beach and the
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park being right next door!  The
townhouses themselves are painted grey (go figure) and I don't think
sell the neighborhood well.  I have pictures of all of the above on
my site.  The page with my unit on it has all the interior and
exterior pictures on it with the exterior first so the rest can sell
them first!  That's my logic...should I change the pictures?  I do
think they could be smaller so people don't have to scroll as far
down to see all of them...

Anyway, sorry this is getting so long!  I've had fun doing it and
been pretty successful in my 6 short weeks as owner!  I'd like to
thank Christine for giving me the nerve to raise my rates!  Her class
sure would have saved me a lot of stress 2 months ago!!

If anyone else has feedback I have broad shoulders--would love to
hear it all!!  Thanks again to everyone for all the good posts!
