Television is always a vacation staple.

You are going to need some pictures. You've seen the other folk's pictures by now and I'll bet you've got plenty just like them. We need them for your site. They show off your property and your guests will appreciate them. (Make sure to include a floor plan, too.)
But those pictures are missing something important: people enjoying their vacation at your place. What is more boring than a deserted kitchen, a clean dining room table, or an empty deck? Is anybody having fun in those pictures?
I'll bet you have some charming pictures:
- Grandma and Grandpa playing gin on the porch wearing their funny hats.
- Tired, sunburned teenagers slouched on the couch watching TV or doing a jigsaw puzzle.
- Dad wresting a live crab into a pot in the kitchen.
- Mom hosing off the dog.
- Uncle Joe surf fishing with your 10 year old.
- The whole family trudging down to the beach with chairs, coolers, rafts, Frisbees, and funny hats.
- The "really big fish" you caught.
- The kids building a sand castle.
I haven't even seen those pictures but I know I'd like them and your guests will like them too.
Now, if your house is on a deserted beach, by all means take a picture of the deserted beach. If your beach is crowded, take a picture of the crowd. Some of your guests will enjoy the crowds, some won't. Help your renter know what they are getting.
Do you really need a digital camera?
No. You can take your favorites to your handy photography store and tell them you want to put them on the web. They'll know what to do.
