9-23-01  We've started a new page about the Islands without Bridges.

9-21-01  Added the Amelia Island Fishing Piers: Fort Clinch and Nassau Sound Piers.

9-18-01  Every heard of Black Island, GA?  We hadn't either but someone searched for it.   Black Island Creek is at 31 22.7 N 81 24.3 W near Wolf Island.

9-15-01  Found some CORP of Engineers pictures and put them on the Boat, ports and planes page.

9-13-01  We're looking for websites about the Intracoastal Waterway.  We like this personal site,  "Cruising America's Waterways."

9-3-01  We like the Block Island website and its panoramic picture.

8-31-01  I added a new page for the older news links. We added the PETA nofishing.net site.  It will not be a fisherman's favorite but you may find it interesting.

8-26-01  I've found some new coastal newspapers.  I'm now using Sursaver.com to "crawl" all them each day.  I post the ones I like in the Beach and Coast news column.  I've been visiting Atlantic Coast Watch a lot lately - lots of news and lots of links updated each week.

8-21-01  The new St. George Island Bridge is under construction and has a website.  Found Sunspot.net Bay and Beach.  It's about Maryland and Delaware beaches but we like it so much that we  created a parking place for Potential Hall of Fame Sites.

8-17-01  Added Atlantic Coast Watch to the Hall of Fame.  Many up to date links and a very comprehensive weekly summary of news about the Atlantic Coast.  Has an environmental slant.

8-13-01  Added the Alabama State Docks website to the ports page.  Lots of good info on the site.  Added Rosemary Beach  to Tour Maps and Site Catalogue.

8-12-01  Thanks to Kurt Lischka who manages graytonbeach.com/.  He helped me find and correct an error on my search form.  He's updated the site.  It's nice and includes an aerial photo.

8-9-01  Started a work in progress for environmental links on this page.  Found the Outer Banks Sentinel it doesn't belong here but it a nice coastal newspaper.

8-7-01  Added The Log Online an online newspaper for Destin / Ft. Walton Beach  and The Walton Sun Online to Media page

8-2-01  New Hall of Fame member: Cumberland Island pictures and maps  from UGA .  Added some links the links page for several oceanographic institutes.

7-17-01  We decided to add some links to "We've been there" page for the beaches we don't cover on this site.  Added the fishing piers at St. Simons and Jekyll.   We  moved the pictures into the heading line to save some space and move the menus higher in the pages.

7-16-01  A link to commercial fishing stats and "Coastlines" Magazine.

7-15-01  Added some Darien and McIntosh County sites.  Added some "we've been there."  Found some info on ancient shorelines.  Added a few links to fishing forums.

7-12-01  We went to the beach: St. Marys, Brunswick, Jekyll, Darien, Harris Neck, Savannah, and Tybee Island.  We ate and commented at "Let's eat."  Started some links to Dewees Island, Sapelo Island, St. Catherines Island

7-3-01  We are going to the beach along the Georgia coast: St. Marys, Jekyll Island, Brunswick, Maybe St. Simons, Shellmans Bluff, and Harris Neck.  So, We've been updating the Site Catalogue for the Georgia coast.

6-15-01  Made several additions to Beaches in Atlanta including Robin Lake, Lake Jackson, Lake Oconee, Lake Sinclair, and the club, "Atlanta Ocean."

6-4-01  Gone to the beach!  We're at Hilton Head for 3 days.

5-31-01  Added our favorite media sites to the Hall of Fame.

5-7-01  Added a whole new section called: Lets eat!  It's a forum for your favorite (or non-favorite places) to eat at the beach.

12-3-00  Discovered the  fantastic Longstreet Highroad Guide to the Georgia Coast & Okefenokee.  Immediate listing in the Hall of Fame and Site Catalog.  Great source of maps and more.

11-26-00  Redesigned and republished the whole site.  The content is the same but we hope it is a little easier on the eye and slightly easier to navigate.  Moved the old menu bar to the bottom in case we fall back to our old ways.

11-9-00  Added more on-line magazines to Beach Media page.

11-4-00  Added pictures of the Daytona and Ormond Beach Bridges to Bridge Maps page..  Thanks to Debbie.

10-26-00  Added link The Brunswick News to Beach Media page.  Added Kings Bay Submarine Base to Big Boats Page.

10-21-00  Added Tom Ferguson's painting to home page.  Added a link to Shellmans Bluff Georgia and a link to Harris Neck Georgia on Beach Maps for Jerry.

10-16-00 Began Georgia Links on site catalog.  Added The Georgia Guardian to Beach Media page.

10-12-00  Flagler Beach to New Smyrna Beach is getting in shape on the site catalog.

10-10-00  Added Port Orange bridge map.  Found a nice map that includes Shell Point, live Oak Island, Wakula Beach, Light House Point, and St.Marks on  Beach Maps page

10-09-00  Added descriptions of Volusia County (Ormond and Daytona) bridges

10-7-00  Now there is only one bridge link on the menu but it leads to all the bridge pages, fast and slow.

10-6-00  Added Aerial Angel Flying Services to Hall of Fame - great aerial photos of Mobile, Pensacola, Destin, Panama City areas.  Found some new maps for Gulf on Beach Maps.  Put Treasure Dive Sites  on Hall of Fame page - super collection of maps and aerial photos of Florida.

10-5-00  Added Kathy Yancey's wonderful painting of a wedding at the St Augustine Alligator Farm to the links page       
Be sure to visit Kathy's site.  Improved the Beach Site Catalogue, but it's still a mess.

10-4-00  More work on the Beach Site Catalogue.  It is a mess but it's going somewhere.  Added link to the Virtual Sand Collection a truly unique site.  New Great Drive in Hall of Fame: Florida 30A  Added more maps to Beach Maps page,

10-3-00  Began working on a Beach Site Catalogue which we intend to include the most useful websites.

10-2-00  Changed the colors of the logo map to make it a little prettier.  Found a great map of Seaside.

9-29-00  Added a Forum/Q&A feature. Thanks to Philip Greenspun.  Now we are sort of  "all dressed up with no place to go."

9-28-00  Added thumbnail pictures and links to Flagler Pier and the St Augustine Bridges.  Reviewed The St. Augustine Record web site - pretty good portal to the area.  Added the charming St Augustine Alligator Farm to the links page.

9-27-00  Added a site search.  Thanks to  atomz.com for providing it free for our little site.  We'll see how it works.  Broke the slow bridges page into 4 manageable pages.  Found some pictures of the fishing piers.

9-26-00  Found some nice bridge (at Destin), pier (at Tybee), and beach pictures at Randy's site.  Added the site to the Hall of Fame.

9-24-00  Made a new banner and put all of the pages on the menu of every page.  Quit using FrontPage' navigation bars.

9-19-00  Built a huge "Slow Bridge Page."  It's really slow but displays wonderful "TopoZone.com maps of all the bridges.  Added a "Faster Bridges Page" that shows thumbnails of the same bridges.

9-11-00  New Hall of Fame movie: "The Endless Summer."  We dared do a blue banner.  We are keeping everything to the left now.

9-5-00  Added a Bridge page as a work in progress.  See the great "The Sidney Lanier Bridge" link.

9-4-00  New favorite beach site, "The Sydney Lanier Bridge," in Hall of Fame.  Found Corps of Engineers low aerial photos of Fernandia and Jax BeachesPut Beach Books in the Beach Media menu.  Working on a new page for "bridges to the beach." Tried to control the size of the tables.  Cleaned up.

09-01-00  Added EPA to Hall of Fame best beach sites.

08-31-00  Added "We've Been There" page to document beaches we've visited.  Added Log Archive page to document changes we've made to the sight.  Added a quote about the taste of the water and added links to the "Overseas Highway" in the Hall of Fame.  Can't find why beach water tases to bad.  Cleaned up.

08-29-00  Today, the Atlanta Constitution reported "monster jellyfish swarms and increased numbers of sharks" in the Gulf of Mexico.  The drought has reduced freshwater flow into the gulf increasing salinity near the coast and attracting shark food closer to shore.  Added some wildlife links on Links page.  Added BeachBrowser.com, a web newsletter to Beach Media page.

08-27-00  Added Brown Marine  as a "favorite beach site" to  the Hall of Fame.  Added "The BeachShack" to the Beach Media page.  Added  an incomplete Fishing Piers page, its waiting to become a real map some day.  Added meta tags. Cleaned up.

8-25-00  Added Beaches In Atlanta page.  Added map of St Vincent Island.

8-23-00  Added  Beach Media page to cover radio, newspapers and other media concerning the beach.  Added lighthouses to Between the Beaches.  Added a few more links on Beach Tour and Links Pages.

8-21-00  Two new favorite beach site in Hall of Fame.: St Simons Island and Jekyll Island.  Added fish and color to the coverage map and put iton the home page.  Put "All the Maps" on the main menu.  It links the all the maps.  Finished "Between the Beaches, I hope it was worth it.

8-19-00  Took the background off, it made the screen "dirty."  Added favorite beach sites and surf music links to Hall of Fame.  Added strange, unfinished "Between the Beaches" page.  A text map that shows the rivers in inlets.  Added more gulf maps to Beach Tour Maps.  Added unfinished Map Sources page.

8-15-00  Added background: a map of Savannah, 1876 from here.
