Biography

Willaim Coit

William Coit is a progressive conservative intellectual who migrated to the state of Georgia within the last decade.  He is a graduate of Franklin Sr. High in Franklin, Louisiana and holds a BA degree in Political Science from Southern University, Baton Rouge.

William Coit is the author of the soon to be released book, Corporate Welfare Reform: Saving American Taxpayers $125 Billion Dollars.

As a student, William Coit was active in student politics. He served as Student Government Association Vice-President, Student Senate President, Political Science Association Vice-President.

William Coit served as Vice-President of the Long Beach California Young Republicans.

William Coit was a legislative intern with U.S. Senator J. Bennett Johnston (La). His topic of research was the Israeli/Arab conflict.

He was an exchange student with Operations Crossroads Africa.  He participated in the development of storage units and installation of machinery for the production of cocoa in Ghana, West Africa.  Additional travel took him to Casablanca, Morocco; Dakar, Senegal; Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Accra, Ghana; Kumasi, Ghana and a small rural village in the northern portion of the Lake Volta region of Ghana.

William Coit began work for Morgan, Lewis, and Bockius as an assistant law librarian. He was responsible for legal research and accounts payable for the law library.  In 1991, he started an advertising distribution firm; Pacific Coast Flyers.  Shortly thereafter, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1993 to start a mobile restoration and detailing business; Coit Mobile Detail.  In 1999, William Coit decided to go in another direction. He accepted positions as a salesman with MCI/WorldCom and Network Plus, an integrated local, data company.  In 2001, he returned to his true passion of entrepreneurship and started BFPN.tv; an online media company.  William Coit has worked tirelessly on the issue of increasing access to capital for minority owned companies as a member of GAMMIT, a minority in technology organization. William participates annually in the Hosea Williams "Feed the Homeless," as a way of helping those affected by downturns in the economy.

William Coit has his residence in Norcross, Georgia.  He is a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta.
