Compassionate Conservative Leadership…For The New
Millennium
William's Priorities In Washington
Education
I strongly advocate education reform as a means of
securing the economic and moral well being of future
generation of Americans. The public education system has to do
a better job of preparing students for the job market or
college. We should give more control over the education
process to parents, teachers, and principles instead of
bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. I trust the citizens of
the 13th district to make the right decision in the education
of their kids.
Economic Development
Small business is the engine that drives the economy
of Georgia. More jobs are created when we eliminate government
restrictions and invest in entrepreneurs. Our growth over the
last decade was the result of favorable economic policies that
encouraged more individuals to assume the risk of starting a
new business. Let's roll up our sleeves and begin the process
of identifying those industries that has the greatest
potential to produce the high paying jobs of the future.
National Defense
The number one priority of the federal government is
to protect our borders from outside threats. The events of
September 11, 2001 exposed our weaknesses. Never again should
our internal security be threatened. Increased spending
on national security with an emphasis on modernization should
be our focus. A comprehensive national strategy to secure the
United States from terrorist threats or attacks should be
implemented.
Middle-Income Tax Cut
The tax system unfairly burdens the average working citizen.
More of your money is spent on wasteful projects in
Washington, D.C. We should put in place some safeguards to
protect the taxpayer from excessive discretionary spending and
take the "special" out of interest and the
"big" out of money and give the American taxpayer a
break.
