My websites My websites if reverse order of age: http://tk-jk.net is the home domain for all of our sites. It's a gateway to all of our stuff. It has a multi-site search so you can find all our info from a single search. John D. Bridgers M.D. Memoirs I'm building this site using CityDesk as a beta test. Websites of the Atlanta City Council Race 2001 I'm using this site to learn how the candidates are using the web in their races. Terry's humble guide to Atlanta is my personal guide to Atlanta, Georgia. The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association of Georgia website is a work in progress. It's my second foray in non-profits if you count school websites. The website design issues are all there but the people part is even more challenging: There is little money, overworked staff and volunteers, turnover in the community and staff. Folks are very willing to build sites for non-profits but keeping the sites going and interesting is the problem. On the other hand, devoting a lot of website energy to support a small community may waste resources. I found a nice design and I moved to content almost intact to the new site. Now, we all want to change everything! I wrote a case study if you'd like to know more. Grady's School Webmasters' Forum is an important sub-site for the Grady Cyberspace Project. It is designed to support the school webmaster community by providing a forum for exchanging ideas around the world. Grady offers it to help folks avoid reinventing the school website wheel and we sure hope Grady will get some good ideas as well. It's just one page but it uses two of Philip Greenspun's free services to provide a forum and link collection. KearnsSouth is for our professional services group (my wife's bookkeeping business). Frankly, I think it get the job done. I like it. It has a new style (for me that is). Grady High School Cyberspace Project is my website in support of the wonderful school site: Grady OnLine. This site documents volunteer efforts in support the school. It's my contribution to community building via the web. You can find the often overlooked human side of technology here: How do you involve busy students, busy teachers, and busy parents? Our Atlanta Beach House is my website for landlocked beach lovers like me. It was the first and where I suffered the most. I'm on my third iteration now. |
